German startup ShopAgentic has raised a €1.9M pre-seed round co-led by May Ventures and Greenfield Capital to build commerce infrastructure designed for AI shopping agents rather than human browsers. The company runs specialized AI agents handling catalogue, pricing, customer service, and fulfilment, while merchants retain strategic control. Founded in December 2025 by serial commerce entrepreneurs Alexander Ringsdorff and Kai-Thomas Krause, ShopAgentic targets the roughly half of e-commerce running on custom-built systems. The product is pre-launch; funds will go toward development, integrations, and hiring. Greenfield Capital's involvement is partly motivated by a thesis around agent-to-agent payments using stablecoins. The market case leans on a Deloitte forecast that AI agents will enable 25% of global e-commerce sales by 2030.
